Concrete Blast Walls

Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) and other high-strength mixes incorporating fiber reinforcement, extra steel rebar and low water-to-cement ratio for exceptional strength and durable reinforced precast concrete T-wall.

Manufactured in the United States under strict ASTM manufacturing standards, U.S. Barricades® concrete T-Walls ensure consistent quality with quick, easy and safe installation. This process is a major improvement in saving significant time and labor costs compared to traditional cast-in-place methods.

To further increase strength and performance we can add the following mixtures:

Silica Fume: A very fine powder that fills micro-voids in the concrete, significantly increasing density, strength, and durability.Fiber Reinforcements: The inclusion of steel, synthetic macro, or even basalt fibers dramatically increases tensile strength and controls cracking, which is vital for absorbing blast energy and maintaining structural integrity post-impact.

Fiber Reinforcements: The inclusion of steel, synthetic macro, or even basalt fibers dramatically increases tensile strength and controls cracking, which is vital for absorbing blast energy and maintaining structural integrity post-impact.

Superplasticizers: High-range water reducers that allow a very low water-to-cement ratio to be used while maintaining the necessary workability for placement.

Proper Technique is Crucial: It is not just the ingredients, but also the process, that ensures maximum strength.

Low Water-to-Cement Ratio: The most critical factor for strength is a low water-to-cement ratio, ideally between 0.25 and 0.35, to reduce permeability and enhance the hydration process.

Proper Curing: Controlled temperature and moisture during the curing process are essential for the concrete to reach its full strength potential.
